I have long believed that if one day we could get everyone in the world to go outside, completely naked, and feel the warm sunshine God made for us, we could postpone Armageddon. Yes, I know it is a completely meaningless gesture, but Kierkegaard made the same argument in favor of Christianity -- its truth was in its absurdity. (How is that for a zen cohen?)

But if we would all go outside naked, it would show that we as humans could act collectively on one deliberate act. Yes, I know, without authoritarianism or totalitarianism, there is no way to get everyone in the world to comply. Even if everyone else could agree, there will be one Aunt Tilly out there that will say: "No one has ever seen me naked since I was a baby, and they aren't going to now. And I don't care if the world ends in a fiery ball, I am not taking off my clothes!"

That does seem a bit selfish, I mean watching the whole world burn in the twinkling of an eye, just because someone was afraid of being seen naked - or afraid of being forced to do something they don't believe in.

Is this the point where we humans have come? Individually or collectively unwilling to even to do a simple natural act in order to save mankind?

Maybe it doesn't have to be nudism, but we need to find some gesture that we can all agree on as a commitment to peace and saving the world from ourselves.

And if you don't think this viral effort is pervasive, watch the following video. This is playing in the farm teams of the World Media League:
